WWE Raw

Kurt tells us that Roman Reigns has laid out Braun Strowman for a potential 6 months. He says that at Extreme Rules, there will a Fatal 5-Way #1 Contender’s match. Seth Rollins vs Samoa Joe vs Finn Balor vs Bray Wyatt vs Roman Reigns. Roman interrupts Kurt saying we don’t need the Fatal 5 Way because he’s the #1 Contender and he’s the only one who can beat Brock Lesnar. Finn Balor comes out and reiterates that he was the first ever Universal Champion and he never lost the title as he tells Reigns to get in line to face Lesnar. Roman tells him he has a lot of heart but no killer instinct. Balor reminds Roman that he beat him on his first night. Joe comes out saying that they have it all wrong, it’s all about actions and results claiming he’ll win the Fatal 5 Way. The lights go out and Bray Wyatt appears in the ring, giving his usual sermon telling us the beast approaches. He tells them all they will fall and run. He’s cut off by Seth Rollins who claims this is fighting time as Joe and Rollins brawl outside the ring while a brawl breaks out inside the ring. The brawl ends with Finn Balor standing tall and everyone else laid out outside the ring.

Seth, Roman and Finn all bicker backstage as Kurt breaks it up and announces Seth Rollins vs Bray Wyatt and Finn Balor vs Roman Reigns.

Jeff Hardy vs Sheamus

Hardy doesn’t waste any time as he jumps the gun and comes out firing against Sheamus and even gets an early near fall. Sheamus is sent down to the floor but immediately regains control, as he throws Jeff into the barricade. Sheamus continues to dominate the match but he can’t quite put Hardy away as he picks up a near fall. The two men go back and forth and exchange near falls. Both men’s partners get involved as Jeff capitalises with a Twist of Fate followed by the Swanton Bomb. Jeff Hardy wins via Pinfall. 

Sasha Banks vs Alicia Fox

Banks takes control of the match early on but Foxy is soon back in it with a near fall. The Boss fights back in it and they go back and forth until Alicia dumps Banks over the top rope. Foxy hits the Axe Kick. Alicia Fox wins via Pinfall.

Intercontinental Championship Match: Dean Ambrose vs The Miz

Ambrose takes control early on as Miz has to go and regroup on the outside. It seems to work out for him as Miz fights back to take control of the match and get a near fall. Miz wears down Ambrose but he fights back and rolls up Miz for a near fall before taking the fight outside. Ambrose flies through the ropes and hits a Suicide Dive. Ambrose gets a near fall as he’s in firm control of the match. A great back and forth exchange leads to a Skull Crushing Finale but Miz only manages a near fall. Ambrose fights back again taking the fight to the outside but Miz tries to use Maryse as a human shield but fails. A distraction from Maryse leads to Miz attempting a low blow which is blocked by Dean, he then hits him with his own low blow resulting in a disqualification. The Miz wins via DQ but Dean Ambrose retains the Intercontinental Championship.

Finn Balor is interviewed and he talks about his match with Roman Reigns, he says it may be Roman’s yard, but it’s his Universe.

Alexa Bliss makes her way down to the ring. The Champion is in the ring poking fun at Newark, New Jersey. She calls them the poster children of failure and she says tonight they’ll experience a winner. Bliss claims she’s done everything she’s said that she would do. She’s then interrupted by Bayley, who announces that she’ll be invoking her rematch clause at Extreme Rules. Alexa says no one will be able to save Bayley and tells her to go and sit at the kiddy table where she belongs and Bayley snaps attacking Bliss but she soon fights back and beats down her rival with a kendo stick.

Miz interrupts Kurt in his office saying Ambrose intentionally got himself disqualified in the match. Angle announces The Miz vs Dean Ambrose at Extreme Rules before he gets into an argument with Maryse in FRENCH! They’re interrupted by The Drifter who shows up once again with his guitar.

Jack Gallagher/Austin Aries vs Neville/TJP

Aries starts with TJP and his team take control early as Aries takes down both Neville and TJP on the outside. Neville and TJP regain control as they wear down Aries. Aries begins to fight back against TJP and manages to bring in Jack Gallagher. Gallagher swings the momentum back to his team, Neville and Aries get involved as Gallagher takes out Neville. Neville distracts Gallagher allowing TJP to connect with the Detonation Kick. TJP & Neville win via Pinfall.

Bayley tells Kurt Angle she’s ready to get Extreme! He announces Bayley vs Alexa Bliss in a Kendo Stick On A Pole Match.

Goldust tells Truth they both fall but they should start their resurgence tonight.

Finn Balor vs Roman Reigns 

Reigns overpowers Finn early as he wears him down. The two men go back and forth but Roman gets the better of the exchange with a Samoan Drop. Roman charges at Balor but misses as he goes shoulder first into the ring post. Balor begins to take control of the match. They go back and forth in the middle of the ring but Reigns gets the better of it as he catches Finn in the air and runs him back first into the ring post. Roman hits the Drive-By on Balor but only manages a near fall. Balor begins to fight back with Reigns unable to Powerbomb his opponent. Roman counters Balor with a Superman Punch but he kicks out at 2! Roman fights back in and hits The Spear. Roman Reigns wins via Pinfall.

Bray Wyatt appears saying there’s an evil that surrounds Monday Night Raw that is the beast. He says he’ll take the spear of destiny and drive it straight into the heart of the beast.

Seth Rollins claims Bray Wyatt won’t stand in his way or becoming the #1 Contender.

Golden Truth vs The Club

Goldust attacks Truth from behind as they get in the ring and he continues to beat him down.

Enzo vs Apollo Crews

Titus O’Niell interrupts Enzo’s usual promo and then proceeds to mock him. Big Cass says it’s Titus vs Big Cass not Enzo vs Apollo. A quick match ends up with Big Cass winning via Pinfall. Enzo takes a selfie and gets attacked by Apollo Crews for his troubles.

Bray Wyatt vs Seth Rollins

The two superstars battle back and forth but Rollins outsmarts Wyatt as he begins to take control. Wyatt fights back on the outside and regains control of the match. Rollins attempts a comeback but Wyatt stays on him and gains a near fall. Wyatt continues his domination of Rollins as he wears him down. Bray shuts down all of Seth’s comeback attempts until Rollins comes up big with the Swingblade. He uses the manoeuvre as a catalyst for his comeback as he starts to take control of the match. A big clubbing clothesline leads to a near fall for Bray. Seth takes the fight to the outside but he’s rushed by Samoa Joe. The match ends in a disqualification win for Seth Rollins.

Wyatt and Joe go face to face before they team up on a wounded Rollins. Wyatt hits the Sister Abigail on Joe and then one on Rollins too.

What a show! RAW was awesome tonight, the double main events were brilliant matches and with the matches made tonight, Extreme Rules is shaping up nicely. I really can’t wait for the Fatal 5 Way. I’m going to give RAW 8/10.
