A look ahead of this weekend’s Premier League games and my predictions on how I think things will go:
Tottenham Hotspur vs AFC Bournemouth
Spurs are red hot in their pursuit of Chelsea and should carry on their great form at White Hart Lane this weekend. Kane should be fully fit, Alli and Ericksen have been great all season long and Son is even chipping in himself too. Easy win for Spurs in my book. Tottenham win 2-0.
Crystal Palace vs Leicester City
Big Sam’s men will be on a massive high following their thrashing of Arsenal last time out. They will be looking to keep that momentum going when they come up against what has to be a deflated Leicester side after back to back defeats finally ended Craig Shakespeare’s perfect record. I fancy The Foxes to fight back in this one but I don’t think Palace will be easy opposition by any means, I can see this being a very tight affair. Leicester win 2-1.
Everton vs Burnley
Burnley’s poor record away from home will do nothing to help them up against a rampant Everton side. Burnley have yet to win away from home this season and I don’t see his changing with the form that Everton are in at the moment. Everton win 3-0.
Stoke City vs Hull City
Stoke are on the back of that hard fought loss to Liverpool so Mark Hughes will be looking to make sure that his team’s confidence hasn’t taken too much of a knock. Hull will be looking to get back to winning ways after their last defeat to Manchester City. Hull have only just got out of the relegation zone and Marco Silva will be hoping for a win in this one to help their bid for survival in the Premier League. I can see both sides cancelling each other out here. 0-0 Draw.
Sunderland vs West Ham
So Sunderland are still rock bottom of the League and it looks like they’re going to need a miracle to have any chance of survival this season. Recent results saw West Ham plummet down the League and they’ve got to be careful not to let that happen again. They won last weekend against Swansea and will be hoping another win here at the Stadium of Light will push them further away from the relegation zone. West Ham win 3-0.
Watford vs Swansea City
Despite their thrashing off Spurs last weekend, Watford have been in good form lately and Swansea quite the opposite as they haven’t won that many as of late. I can see Watford edging this one. Watford win 1-0.
Souhampton vs Manchester City
Southampton are in relatively good form lately even though, they’ve been missing star man Manolo Gabbiadini. Good news for Claude Puel as Gabbiadini should be back for this huge clash. City are still choosing between their two rather “unconvincing” goalkeepers. City won for the first time in four games last time out, but they are a top side lots of creativty and attacking genius within them. I feel like Southampton can do a job here over Guardiola’s men. Southampton win 3-1.
West Bromwich Albion vs Liverpool
Liverpool seemed to have overcome their mid table jitters with a stunning comeback against Stoke last weekend. West Brom haven’t won in their last 3 games. I think the brilliance of Coutinho and Firmino will be too much for The Albion defence to handle. Liverpool win 2-0.
Manchester United vs Chelsea
A huge game to round off Super Sunday as Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United come up against his former side Chelsea now managed by Italian, Antonio Conte. Chelsea are in sensational form and looking unstoppable lately whereas, United have struggled to finish games off as of late, their only convincing result lately has been the 3-0 demolition of Sunderland. Although, with Zlatan back and potentially Pogba, things could get interesting. It should be a great battle in midfield between N’Golo Kante and Paul Pogba to see who can really break up the play and who will run the game. United have lost already in the League to Chelsea and will be looking for revenge against the League leaders. However, it is worth noting that the 4-0 defeat kick started United’s undefeated streak which currently stands at 11 wins and 10 draws. Manchester United win 2-0.
Middlesborough vs Arsenal
Arsenal will be looking to bounce back from the terrible defeat to Palace and Wenger will be hoping a win here can bring back on side some of his doubters who are so desperate to him out of a job. Relegation candidates Boro are in some terrible form as they’re winless in 5 games. I can see Arsenal avenging last weeks terrible slip up and blowing Middlesborough away. Arsenal win 4-0.
