Matchday 30 Preview

The Premier League returns this weekend following an international break with all 20 teams in action. I am going to take a look at the games coming up and give you my predictions.

Liverpool vs Everton

The Merseyside Derby kicks off an exciting weekend of football. Everton come into this one in hot form after scoring 7 goals in their last 2 games. Liverpool are also in relatively good form having been unbeaten in 3 games. Everton have been brilliant under Ronald Koeman this season, their attacking displays have been lethal and that is even more evident with Romelu Lukaku leading the Premier League Golden Boot race. Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool haven’t been overly impressive, they have a good record against the top sides however they seem to slip up against the lesser teams. With that being said, I fancy Everton to win 3-1.

Burnley vs Tottenham

Burnley are on a terrible run at the minute, losing all of their last 4 in the Premier LeagueBurnley will be a tough side to break at home however if anyone can break them its Tottenham especially with the form Ericksen and Alli are in at the minute. Spurs are on a 3 game winning streak. I can fully see them winning this game comfortably. Tottenham win 3-0.

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace

Chelsea are red hot right now and Palace are currently unbeaten in their last 4 Premier League games. Big Sam’s appointment at Selhurst Park has seen a turnaround in fortunes. However, Conte’s Chelsea look unstoppable and I really don’t think Crystal Palace will prove a tough test for the League leaders. Chelsea win 2-0.

Hull City vs West Ham

Hull have only won 1 of their last 5 games. They’re struggling for form and look strong favourites to be one of the three teams to be relegated. Similarly, The Hammers have also only won 1 of their last 5 also. West Ham sit in 12th and will be looking for a top half finish. Hull are stuck down in 18th and it looks like nothing is going their way. I can’t see Marco Silva’s sides fortunes improving. West Ham have shown they have goals in them recently and Hull’s inability to keep goals out should see an easy win for Slavan Bilic’s men. West Ham win 3-1.

Leicester City vs Stoke City

Leicester are flying and this turnaround has seen them surge away from the relegation zone. The aim of the Champions for this season, simply has to be survival. Stoke’s last outing was that epic match with Chelsea which they lost. Stoke’s recent form has been quite mixed with 2 losses, 2 wins and 2 draw in their last 5. It seems right now as if nothing is going to stop The Foxes. Leicester win 3-2.

Manchester United vs West Brom

United come in to this game in some good form. Mourinho knows that a win would see his side make up ground on the top 4. Spirits will be high with The Baggies fans and players alike following that monumental upset over Arsenal last time out. I feel like West Brom will be tough to break down and I feel like United may struggle in this one. 1-1 Draw.

Watford vs Sunderland

Mazzari’s Watford haven’t won in 4 games and Sunderland are favourites to go down. As a result of the horrific form, Sunderland sit rock bottom of the Premier League. I feel this game could Troy Deeney vs Jermaine Defoe. Defoe’s confidence will be at an all time high following a goal scoring return for England. With that being said, I don’t think Defoe is a one man team and I don’t see Sunderland pulling this one out. Watford win 2-1.

Southampton vs Bournemouth

Southampton have only won 2 of their last 5 games. Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth are on the back of back-to-back wins in the Premier League. Southampton may be without in form striker Manolo Gabbiadini. I can see both sides cancelling each other out in this one. 0-0 Draw.

Swansea vs Middlesborough

Swansea have only managed 2 wins in their last 5 in the Premier League, but they come up against a Middlesborough side who are also struggling. Boro haven’t won any of their last 4 in the Premier League. I can see this one either being a total bore draw or it’s going to be very exciting with both teams going all out for the win in an attempt to aid their survival hopes. 1-1 Draw.

Arsenal vs Manchester City

Following a shock defeat to West Brom, pressure on Arsene Wenger is at an all time high. Arsenal have lost their last 2 games in the Premier League. City’s form is also rather mixed however, this is a massive game and you can guarantee there is going to be some serious fireworks on Super Sunday in this one. There is insane amounts of firepower in this both teams. I feel like Arsenal just don’t have what it takes anymore. Manchester City win 4-2.
